Cooling tower motors

Cooling Tower motors are designed with a carefully selected set of features that allows reliable operation in 100% humidity applications and highly corrosive environments.
The line is suitable for both DOL and frequency inverter operation, being capable operate in either horizontal or vertical mounting. Due to low speed, the noise and vibration levels are reduced, lifetime is longer, the assembly costs are reduced, and the requirements for maintenance are lower in comparison with a high-speed motor with a gearbox. Removal of a gearbox with oil filling is also beneficial for environmental protection. The frame is robust, made of grey cast iron or aluminum, with ribs on the surface.
Motors can be intended for direct drives of axial-flow fans for cooling towers without gears, for the environment with the ambient temperature up to +70°C.
