UKCA certificate
From KONČAR – Motors and electrical systems (MES), UKCA certificate for explosion-protected motors is available as a key indicator of a product’s compliance with GB legislation.
The UK left the EU single market in December 2020. The United Kingdom Conformity Assessed or UKCA certificate is being phased in from the 1st of January 2021 to replace the CE mark in Great Britain, although most products with CE mark will remain acceptable for a transition period ending in December 2022.
The UKCA certificate is a mandatory certificate on a product to indicate that it conforms to GB legislation. The manufacturer or their authorized representative will be responsible for affixing the UKCA certificate to the product, which is the same principle as CE marking but for the GB market.
When the UKCA certificate does fully replace the CE mark for most UK products, only UKCA-compliant documentation will grant the goods access to the British market.
